Born to American parents and raised in Brussels, Belgium, Natasha finished her degree in Film, TV and Digital Media Production at Regent’s University London in 2019. It is here where she completed her graduate film 'Stay Still, while being mentored by Ken Fero (‘Injustice’, ‘Ultraviolence’) and her mini doc ‘Laisse Les Filles Transquilles’ about an anonymous Feminist collective in Brussels. Most recently, ‘Stay Still’ was selected to be showcased at BAFTA-recongnised Aesthetica Short Film Festival 2020. It was also selected at Her International Film Festival in Ireland in 2021.
She worked at CZAR Brussels as Communication Manager and Visual Researcher. She then worked freelance as a TVC Treatment Designer and worked with production companies across Brussels, Berlin and Amsterdam. She most recently worked as an Art Director at AMBUSHED.TV for Film & TV Pitch Decks where she managed teams of Graphic Designers, Copywriters, Visual Researchers and AI Specialists working with directors such as Xavier Dolan (‘Mommy’) and Martin Aleman with a collaboration with Emma Mackey (‘Sex Education’, ‘Barbie’).
Alongside her family, she directed and edited the 17 minute pitch video which won her and her team the honour of designing the TEAM BELGIUM’s uniforms for the Paris 2024 Olympics. It was the first time in TEAM BELGIUM’s history to unanimously vote for a design and concept. We are continuing this collaboration and designing the Team Belgium’s uniforms for the winter Olympics. The design we created can also be found at Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Her passion is directing and sharing stories that focus on women, the LGBTQ+ community, and other minorities. She wants to make bold and thought-provoking films that leave the audience asking questions, that at times, won’t have direct answers.
But she also the ability, knowledge and experience in working in the advertising industry.
Three directors that inspire Natasha and her filmmaking are Laura Poitras, Chantal Akerman and Jordan Peele.
When not breathing, talking and creating film and video, she is either surfing or walking her dog Willow.
